Won Sil Kim’s body of work is largely informed by her rural environment mountain side of Los Angeles. The sensations of morning fog, wildfires, the smell of nature, and fields of grass are external occurrences that unfold into the creation of Kim’s abstracted landscapes. The further use of surrounding objects and collage techniques built a dynamic relationship between image and objects.
